2021 Kitchen Cabinet Color Trends
We’re more than halfway through 2021 and we thought it would be the perfect time to take a look at the cabinet color trends that have been dominating this year. If you’re looking for inspiration for your upcoming kitchen renovation, you’ve come to the right place.
Almost Greys
One trend that is on its way out is the true grey color trend. Don’t count grey completely out, though. Rather than disappearing from our color wheels, this timeless color is simply evolving. Classic grey may be out but greige and blue-green-greys are here to stay--for a while anyway.
Forest and Yellowed Green
Nature is the running theme for 2021’s color trends, and green has become one of the most popular shades for cabinets in recent years. This year’s favorite shades of green are forest and yellowed greens. One reason we love this color trend is that these shades are muted and can be considered neutral colors. They pair well with a number of other colors and shades including white and various shades of off-white, greige, and stained wood cabinets.
Greyed-Blue
Don’t be fooled by the color blue. This is another one of those muted shades that work well as a neutral and also pairs well with almost any other neutral shade.
Deep Bronze
Move over, orange. Deep bronze is the new black, for kitchen cabinets at least. The most popular shade is Sherwin Williams’ Urbane Bronze. This shade is perfect for dark cabinet lovers who want the drama of black cabinets without actually having black cabinets.
Coffee Stains
Stained wood cabinets are all the rage right now. Coffee stains have emerged as a major trend this year and we totally get it. If these cabinets and an actual cup of coffee don’t wake you up in the mornings, we don’t know what will.
